We just recently changed our address about 3 months ago. We used to get our mail at the Post Office in Pineola, NC. We now have it delivered to our house, which changed our address to Newland, NC. We still have the same street address since we didn't actually move. I knew there was a time frame on filing the AR-11 but didn't pay much attention since we still have the PO Box and still receive mail there also. Most of our bills and evidence we will be mailing in when we remove conditions comes to the Newland address though. Now I'm freaking out thinking we are in big trouble for not getting the form filed in time. I am going to file the form asap but I still need the address for Javier's employer. I should be able to get it Friday. I guess I'm just wondering if we are in deep ####### or what?

I doubt you'll be in trouble. Just send it in ASAP.

I didn't fill in the section for Wadi's employer because I didn't see how that was relevant, being that his permanent residence has nothing to do with his work, and it seemed to be fine.

Well that's what I was thinking too. I was wondering why that was relevant to his address changing. I will just go ahead and send it in without that information. Do they send you something letting you know the change has been processed? Should I bother spending the extra money to send it overnight or receipt confirmation?

They don't send you any notice. So I sent it with delivery confirmation.

Don't forget you have to do the I-865 too if you were the I-864 sponsor!

I would send it with some sort of receipt confirmation because they don't send you anything...

you also need to send out a Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address - I-865

Jeez, I hadn't even thought of that. Thanks for telling me. I'll go get that form right now.

Next question, on the I-865 it asks for the effective date of the address change. Should I just put today's date?
