N400 application sent to USCIS 2 weeks before still no responses

Hi guys,

Hope you could give me some strength on my case.

I sent in my N400 application to the Texas Service Center on 02/03 and the package was successfully delivered on 02/06. Until today, which is 02/17, I still don't hear anything back from USCIS, neither a text, email response saying my application is received, nor a cashed check. I attached a G-1145 form in the front of my main N400 application form.

I am thinking is that normal? Since I have seen a lot of people submitted the application after me have even already received the NOA?!

What is the general rule of chasing the status with USCIS to see whether they have received my application or not if anybody can kindly answer? I don't feel like I want to wait forever without doing anything....

Thank you all!

You sent it to the Texas Service Center (TSC), or the Lewisville, TX lockbox? Your profile page says the Lewisville, TX lockbox, but you mention TSC in your message?? They are not the same facility. Please clarify.

If you did indeed send it to the TSC, it is likely being forwarded to the Lewisville lockbox facility for intake processing. That would likely cause a delay, and in addition to the Federal holiday yesterday. may be the reason(s) why you haven't heard anything from USCIS. It sounds like you have delivery confirmation, so it may just take some additional time.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Okay, sounds good that you sent it to the correct lockbox facility for USPS delivery, and it sounds like you have delivery confirmation. Keep following the money trail, the government loves money, and it sounds like they have yet to grab yours....

Just taking a look at the general slowdown in USCIS activity that is palpable in reading the various forums, it is my opinion that USCIS is overloaded with work and just seems to get more piled on daily from executive orders. The downside of it is that you, like the rest of us, ends up in a longer queue, and it takes longer and longer to get our immigration business done.

My personal example is that we sent in the ROC paperwork last August, have done the biometrics, and then.......??? nothing since..........???? We are just re-employing those patience skills...going on six months.....

Hang in there (like the rest of us) and hopefully you will get an email/text response from your G-1145 filing soon.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thank you very much for the kind words member A&B. I am just being worried about not in a group of people whose applications were processed within a sound timeframe. If the life is going to give me challenges on my patience, I guess I will have to just take it. Good luck with your application as well!!!
