I am sad to say that there will always be people on here who think that if they have had to do a K1/K3 then so should everyone else.... so they will continue to give very wrong info to people who ask about doing AOS from anything other than a K visa.... It is not illegal and never has been...

I did. I sent in my I-130 about 3 months before I sent any other document. See my signature below.

You did it the "old way", which is no longer required. Out of interest, how come? Was it a personal choice or did you not realise that you could file concurrently?

I am in the process of getting things together for my AOS too, I wanted to file seperately once but realized that it's better to file everything together, even though it's terribly expensive! All the best with your filing!

As another VWP adjuster, just wanted to pop in and say welcome!

It sounds like you have a good idea of what you're filing, so no need to go into that. I don't have any useful input about filing the I-130 prior either, as I filed concurrently.

But Hi!!

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

You're not filing the I-130 though - completely different issue than the EAD and AOS together or separate.

I do agree it's best to file all together though.
