We just started the K-1 visa process and because I am a total control freak am already pulling my hair out! We hired a lawyer so we wouldn't have to worry about things but I like to have as much info as possible and my lawyer isn't forth-coming with it.

This thing just got started and I'm already freaking. :help: When we first contacted the lawyer after Christmas '06 he said he would be suprised if we didn't have the visa by May '07. From everything I've read on this forum that doesn't appear to be possible.

We live in Munich, Germany and we wanted to get married this June in Las Vegas. We have so many friends from here that want to come but we can't give them a defo time! I hate waiting!

Sorry to rant at you guys!

Anyway, glad to have started the process and to have joined this forum cause it means I'm getting hitched to my best friend! :luv:

I think your attorney is fairly close... it will be 190 days for us by the time she arrives to me..but then we added a couple of weeks maybe 3 weeks..because of some basic problem..W2's for 2006 we waited for etc.., So he might be on the money.. but anyway..it's best to take each step at a time...

Get your NOA1

Get your NOA2

Get through NVC

Petition to the Embassy

Wait for packet 3

wait for packet 4 if it applies..

Wait for interview

Just count the days for each step..

And avoid the big picture...

Heck I had no idea it would take 6 + months.. I figured on 3-4 months..:) and this still is true with alot of people.. So Good luck...and take each step at a time...and Celebrate each one :) because you are one step closer ...
