Dear Sir or Madam,

I recently (on November 2014) filed a K3 visa for my wife. Case status: Received on December 12,2014 by USCIS.

I was wondering if here is anything we could do to speed up the process to get the visa? there is a military actions in Ukraine right now and my wife also has chronic stomach diseases. May be I can file some documnts about it?

Thank you

K-3 visas are tantamount to obsolete.

To qualify for an expedite you would need to show that she was in serious and imminent danger. If she lived far away from the fighting, for example, then she probably wouldn't receive an expedite.

Hypnos is partially correct. I did an expedite for my now wife, K-1 visa, back in March. There are great threads about the expedite process. Mostly, for an expedite, you have to prove the hardship as it relates to you. There is one hardship category that would relate to her and that is the humanitarian hardship. Just citing the war in Ukraine is not enough. You need to get into details.

When I submitted my request, which I did by calling not writing a letter or email, I cited financial hardship and humanitarian. The financial hardship was that I had to take a leave of absence from my job to go to Ukraine to care/protect my future family. I would incur reduced pay, reduction in savings and IRA contributions, possible financial problems due to reduction in pay, the need for money while in Ukraine. The humanitarian was based on doing the right thing to protect a valuable member of the human race and her daughters. To take them out of harms way.

Now, you might or might not agree with what I submitted. However, I can tell you that my expedite was granted. Overall, I believe we saved upwards of 4 months of waiting normal processing time.

Good luck!

are you certain you are chasing a K-3 visa? you only mentioned 1 receipt notice date.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
