Scan Dates & Case Completes (CC)

I call back NVC this morning after learning yesterday that I received a check list for Item 5 and 10 of I 864, I'm more confused than ever. I was told last night that the information was incorrect and I spoke to Rep name Alicia this morning who told me that the Items were left blank. I'm looking at the photo copy's of the form and its not blank so I don't know what to send back to them. Dealing with NVC is like being in a bad marriage no good communication

But, a little confused. Is this my scan date. The email i received is below.

Hello guys

My scan date is January 5th and still haven't heard anything from NVC!! Really worried and wondering why its taking that long!

Calling NVC everyday just to hear "you should hear something soon sir!", like really I am just getting too frustrated with them now.

I also spoke to one of the supervisor from NVC who assured that she will follow up and get back to me at the earliest and now its over two weeks no news!

Please guys help, what do you think i can do so that i hear something from them!!

Are your timeline dates correct? You have listed that you sent your AOS package on 1/24/15 & your IV package on 3/5/15. I'm not sure how your scan date would be January 5th. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the scan date normally goes by the last package received, so that would make it sometime shortly after March 5th ??

Anyone care to weigh in?

When the National Visa Center receives mail they SCAN it or image it into their system... this date is referred as the "scan date".

Typically it is taking NVC 60 days to review incoming pieces of mail.

Yeah, the scan date in terms of the sixty day wait is always from the last received package.

My scan date was Dec 15 2014. Unfortunately for me, our case was basically "skipped over" or something, had CC today!!!! Took over 90 days, and was in supervisor review for 3 weeks. Thank God, just thought I'd share this for anyone else in my situation.

Wow thanks for sharing...I can't imagine how relieved you must feel!! Congrats! Good to hear supervisor review only took 3 weeks. That's better than the 42 days they say it will be!
