Oh no what a shame! It looks like the I-864 clarifies it a bit more than the EZ. It specifically says "Persons not sponsored in this affidavit" so at least to me it was clear that even though I have a spouse, he had already been counted and I was supposed to put 0 for spouse. At least I hope that's correct! I should find out soon enough...

Keep your chin up and thanks for sharing!

This is such bull****. I got a checklist for giving them a 2014 w2. They said they dont need a w2 from 2014, but since I gave them one, they want my 2014 tax return transcript, which I don't even own.

I gave them everything they needed and I get checklisted for something they didn't even need, unbelievable....Even the person on the phone said it was unusual for me to get a checklist.

I'm sorry to hear that just 87! My lawyer warned me that could happen so made me get my taxes done before sending them in. I was annoyed that it delayed sending everything by a week but hoping that saves us now. Still a little nervous though because I had not officially filed yet, just prepped my taxes for 2014 and we sent that. Hopefully no checklist in our future! Don't understand why they're being so picky this week compared to last with all these checklists! :(

It's odd. I haven't met anyone here in person, and yet, my heart actually sank when I read about the checklists today.

So sorry to hear the disappointing news. You are in good company, however. Let's all continue to be a support for each other.

So sorry to hear about the checklists received today

Congratulations to all who got 3N/A today!!!

I'm really getting nervous, I also sent my W2 from 2014. Just87 got checklist for sending 2014 W2. I sent my tax returns from 2011-2014 and my W2 from 2011-2014. Just to show I have enough income to sponsor my husband. I pray they don't give me a checklist for that.

Wish you all good luck with the next step of the process. Thank you all for all the support !!!!

When I was compiling my paperwork back in January, I did not have my taxes filed for this year. How was I supposed to send them the transcript of something not even filed and not even required to be filed until April.

Yeah and you can't even get a transcript until after April 15th I believe. I'm so sorry. And I can't believe they've checklisted you for something ridiculous as that!

I don't get it where you say "you put 0 for spouse". I was studied the i-864 instructions form and what i understood was, we should fill in '1' for spouse. Ariani only did the totaling wrong instead of 3 he put 2.. that was the mistake, everything else is fine. ABDIyJLSO, you may need to check that you keyed in those figures correctly.

Praying for no more future checklists.

Hi VJ friends,

I just wanted to share with you all about my very disturbing call to the NVC. After trying for more than an hour to even get through, then another 45mins(not 20 like the recording says) I got a rep by the name of Ana. She started off somewhat pleasant but then after questioning about the wait and why so many people are receiving responses with scan date well after mine (1/15/15), sigh....... This Ana turns into the she devil of the NVC. She tells me there is absolutely no way that others are being notified of CC or Checklist with scan dates after 1/15/15. When I tell her that I know for a fact that it is happening she became rude and repeated that it just is not possible and that they are working on the scan date of 1/05/15. ? So then she ends with have a nice day then hangs up.

I truly do not understand them or their process at all. And I don't understand why they are ok with upsetting families like this. It's really sad and extremely aggravating. I even told there was no need to be rude and that I am just trying to understand their review process.????

I'm going to try and be positive and patient. What I do know for sure is something needs to change with their review process!! Not to mention better customer service.

Good luck to everyone and congrats to those that have CCs.

Those of you who got checklists how long did it take you to get an email? Was it immediate or was it after a while?

Mine took just 2 working days to receive e-mail on my Checklist, so I quickly updated it and sent it today, hoping for quick CC too

According to the instructions I-864EZ, you don't count anyone twice. So, if your spouse is the one immigrating, you then enter "0" in the line b box:

16(b). If you are married and your spouse was not included in line (a), enter "1" here

Line (a) states: yourself and the person you are sponsoring on this form, which in this case is my husband so "2" goes in this box The word "not" means you enter "0" on 16 (b). Hope that helps!

Unless she's referring to EP filing perhaps? I know they're backed up a little longer than paper filing. Just a guess but definitely not an excuse for rudeness either way! Some of those people need a lesson in empathy...
