Guys 7.9 magnitude earthquake just hit nepal 2000 death and over 5000 casualties fo far. My wife is safe. Emergency has been announced in country. Awaiting interview so far for us. But now i wont even be expecting it. God bless

That sucks I think this will significantly delay the interview process there until some calm can be restored. Such a terrible tragedy.

Stupid question but how does one know his scan date?

Come join the Scan Date to Case Complete thread. To be added to the Scan Date to Case Complete spreadsheet, simply post your Scan Date and/or Case Complete date in the thread. You will be added to the spreadsheet which is available now.

NVC sends you an e-mails stating that they received your documents on "x" date.

The date they received your documents on is your scan date.

Hope that helps

Ok thanks

Well, this is one award I won't fight over, so I'll pass it on to you then. rofl. But really, it sucks to have lost so much time at the USCIS stage. Why the heck did it take over a year for some?

I wondered about the older blanks too. Good work. Did that info get put into the spreadsheet?

No thank u, lol...i really don't know why it takes so long for them to approve your case at uscis, they kept saying that ur case requires extra security checks, but i don't believe that. I feel like they just misplace your file and and only realize its there until you send in an e-request...but thank god mine is out after more than 10 months and now at NVC....hoping we all hear good news from them this week..

I just wanna make sure I am reading this right. In the spreadsheet, on the tab labelled "Trending Chart", the y-axis is the number of days it takes to get case complete after scan date? The graph shows for one case it has taken as little as 8 days to get a "case complete" from the scan date? This just blows my mind

Sometimes when you get an expedite request approved and you have already sent all of your documents to the nvc they might review and give you a case complete. =)

Just filled the DS-260 online. It took about 2 hrs... but now it's complete! :) I had a little bit of a hassle with entering my previous addresses, since I've moved so many times, but all in all it was not a bad form. If you know where you've been and when, it's actually pretty easy. Now I'm ready for NVC to review our case B-) ! (and ready for the 2014 tax checklist, already asked our joint sponsor to order her transcript)

you're not alone. My husband filed i-130 back in july 2013. We received rfe twice. Approved in october 2014. 15 months with uscis and now 5 months with NVC Since they assigned case no back in December. On top of that we received checklist too for putting n/a instead of year 2013 on 1 item only. And to be honest we are like on the edge of giving up.. but still surviving :)

Good Morning everybody :goofy: and congratulations to everyone who got their CC, hope to see more today.

I have been seeing many Check Lists lately asking for the 2014 Tax info :wow:

What triggers NVC to ask for them?

Should I be worried given my timeline bellow? your insight is greatly appreciated.

Original SD : 01/23/2015 -- included 2011, 12, 13 taxes and employer letter

First Check List Issued: 04/07/2015 -- for original birth certificate, 2014 taxes was not requested

New SD: 04/09/2015

we did not include tax 2014 either when we sent the corrected aos for a checklist we received in March, 26.

We asked the supervisor and she said if they received the documents before April 15, it should not be a problem to include tax info up to 2013 only. On top of that they did not mention this on our checklist.

I know I cant really take her words for granted as I see people getting checklisted for not including tax 2014 even if their sd is before April.

Thanks rpb13

The advice I got from my lawyer was not send anything to NVC unless they ask for it

I guess we will have to wait and see :reading:
