Thanks Matuzia94 & BellaRose_09 for response.

Do you think it is a good idea to go ahead and send it since they have not reviewed my initial Check List Response SD 4/9 ? in hopes not get another check list

Honestly, due to so many who have been nabbed on 2014 taxes I would print them out and send them out to them. They might get to them in three days depending on the speed you send but that's only a little delay other than waiting for a few weeks and finally they ask for them.

But then this brings the question of are they going to ask you to redo the whole I-1864 because obviously figures wont align with the 2014 return? For example where they ask your current income. This is interesting...seemingly easy but not quite.

Please can others give your opinions on this, thanks.

I totally agree with you. I got the news of a checklist on 04/15 for error on AOS, marriage certificate, and court documents. I had asked if i can provide these at the interview and i got a big fat "NO!" as an answer..it is so unfair

My new scan date is 04/17..Hopefully with confirming that nvc is processing in 30 days or less i can too get a CC. If only NVC would know how unfair this roller coaster ride can be for most of us. Best of luck to all who are awaiting a CC.

Wishing you a quick turn around BellaRose.

If you guys decide to send the 2014 tax returns after getting a checklist (not related to the AOS form), you should send a new AOS form including the 2014 tax return as your latest tax return. If you do so, remember current income must match with the 2014 income tax return.

Personally, I wouldn't send something I wasn't asked for in the first place.

The other 2 aren't going to go N/A. 3 N/A total = CC

You can call to confirm but its not worth the 1 hour hold time honestly..its CC..relax. Congrats!

I disagree, it is worth the one hour wait time to hear NVC tell you your case is complete.

Guys, help, please! What is adjusted gross icome one the form 1040? Line 22 or line 37?

If you are Using a 1040 or 1040 a tax form, you will not use adjusted gross income. you will use gross total income

I could be wrong but I believe you only use adjusted gross income if you are using a 1040ez tax form

I had a question at the back of my head so thought why not post it here.

How do we know if we've received a checklist? Do we get an email or letter the same day or are we supposed to find out over the call? I personally never call them.

Calling is the fastest method...granted they will mail or email you and any other email address on file.

We filed I-864EZ and 1040. NOT the 1040EZ!. We corrected our I-864 using the line 22 - we put gross total income (as you are stating). Somebody said we should use line 37. I am in total sadness.

1040 line 37

1040A line 21

1040EZ line 4

Yes, they told me that yesterday.

I thought if use use 1040 we DON"t use total adjusted income. We use total gross income, which is line 22. Are you sure you are right?

We filed I-864EZ with 1040.

If you sent 1-864EZ and your taxt return form was a 1040, don't be sad. Line 22 is total income on 1040; gross adjusted income (line 4) is only needed if your tax form was a 1040EZ.

I sent a 1-864EZ too, tax form 1040 one year and 1040EZ another year, and I used line 22 (total income) and line 4 (adjusted gross income). Never used line 37 on taxt form 1040.
