Thanks sanraPro for trying to help..Actually my husband called NVC and told them that embassy says that there are openings, but NVC rep didnt wanna listen anything..Maybe you can try and hope u get some reply which is useful..

My husbands embassy said the same thing. "Plenty of openings here not sure what the hold up it. You would have to contact the NVC."When i told the NVC rep they just said "do you want me to request an expedite?" I am not getting a expedite for being impatient and wanting to know where my case stands lol

A thought just crossed my mind so I guess i'll share it here:

-Could it be that the NVC is predicting retrogression in the upcoming May 2015 visa bulletin? (which hasn't been published yet)

a. & because of this they are delaying scheduling visa interviews?

I could be wrong, and I probably am but thing thought just came to my mind and thought i'll share it here :)

What I understand is that retrogression is for family based visa and not for Ir1/Cr1 visa. all embassy always have openings for this category visa.

Am I correct?

I understand..This wait time drives us crazy!!

you can say that again. I left the US when I was 18 yrs & 2 months old (didn't want to risk my future chances of going back)

Left is March 2005 only to find out that my parents asylum case got approved in May 2005 and they got their green cards in 2007. if I only stuck around for 2 more months I'd be a citizen like my family now :).... oh well

Scan date is date when they receive your AOS and IV documents. NVC rep will confirm the dates when u call them after sending both documents..

i didn't send any thing im just waiting for any email or confirmation from NVC

Can i send the documents to them now even before filling ds 260 and I-864?!

i got only confirmation on the payment but i didn't get any confirmation for the ds261 so pls help me for next step

i just got cc, and asked extensively about what's next, how long, why a delay and rep just read her script...you will be notifed when your interview is to be scheduled....blah, blah, blah....I believe reps don't know....

just another time piece... :clock:

congrats.....their visas should be ready soon....and then its bliss!!!

Thank you!! I hope they get it soon. It's about 1 to 2 weeks to get thier visa delivered in the philippines..

You need to call NVC to confirm if your DS-261 is approved or not. And its better to send out AOS and IV packages together. But you can send both individually also (have seen many people doing that, but i personally had done it together). Packages can be send only after fees status changes to paid (refer site www.ceac.state.gov) as you need to get barcode sheet which you can print only after fees is paid.

This is my opinion.

hi

i've got my barcode sheet by mail with the welcome letter but i saw on the website i have to fill the ds 260 before sending the documents

so what do u think i have to do now

My husband was able to fill DS-260 only after we had paid IV fees. So i am not very sure.. I think ariani or other active members might be able to help you with this..

so that i have to wait till fill the DS-260 then move to next step by sending the documents by mail

do u know how many days after completed the agent form and paid the AOS i can fill ds-260 ?!?! almost 10 days completed the payemnt
