It all depends on how busy your Embassy/Consulate may be. It took 12 days for my interview to be scheduled. I happened to call the NVC and they had just scheduled it that same day. I received the interview letter the next day (13 days after CC) Hang in there, it's coming! Best of luck to you!

Called NVC again tdy. I got a checklist for Police Certificate. I honestly thought that you had to have an Interview Letter to obtain a Police Certificate in Jamaica. Now I'm going to have to wait for my husband to get it and then mail it to me through snail mail. I guess that's another long wait again.

Actually the process for me took 4 days, I did the overnight police report costing Ja$8000 pick up the following day and the fedex was on the same block so I sign the report and send it costing $3500 and it reach the following day so that about US$110

Mine went to a supervisor review and was approved about 4 days later.

However I believe this was due to the congressional inquiry by my local senator. I was later forwarded the e-mail correspondence between NVC and the congressman's office and I can tell that this the kick in the rear end that finally got the supervisor to look at it. However my senator wouldn't step in until after 60 days (the review time stated on their official website). I am not sure if that is a requirement for all offices though so it is most DEF worth the call to get them involved!

Good luck!

I just received a checklist today! :-( I was expecting it, as we used assets instead of income. I don't really understand the checklist though, this is what it says:

"______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________ The NVC has received the information you have submitted in reference to the Affidavit of Support. Please be advised that the Affidavit of Support information you have provided does not appear to meet the minimum income requirement according to the current poverty guidelines to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview. In order to avoid delays, you may wish to submit an additional Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) for a/another Joint Sponsor to the National Visa Center to assist in sponsoring the intending immigrants. To view the current poverty guidelines, visit http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf. If you decide to use a Joint Sponsor to assist in sponsoring the intending immigrants, please note that you the sponsor may not use Form I-864EZ and will also need to submit Form I-864"
