omg, you need to find out, because they will not take anything else, they need to be inextensas, they need to be legalized by "junta central electoral" and they need to have an apostille from "la oficialia de estado" all that stuff. so find out, and resend them so you dont go through what i am going through

UGH!!!...Now this is going to kill me, I am at work right now and my documents are home. But as soon as i get home later today i will check. I am praying I sent the correct documents, i had both certificates translated and attached with copies of the originals.

I've been doing this process on my own after my i130 was approved. I initially had someone helping me but came to find out the person was not a immigration attorney and wanted to submit documents not in the steps required by NVC. For example she wanted to submit the AOS and my financial documents separate from the supporting documents. And we all know those two must be sent in one package only to NVC. I'am trying so hard to not make a simple mistake,but it is so difficult to do so for the fact that there is little to no information on how to correctly do things before sending anything to NVC.

I travel to DR about every 2 months or so to visit my husband, and I just want him here already :cry:

I know we are all doing this for one reason, and one reason only. To one day be with our love ones.

A good practice is to call the senator/congressman office and explain the facts (not emotions) to the representative. Personal contact makes things easier. Be always polite and assertive.
