Stefi i Ace, I am from Serbia, and my husband is from Macedonia. We are waiting form my parents cases

Beautiful :) My family is also from Macedonia (have some relatives in Srbija as well). My husband is from Tetovsko and my family is from Ohridsko. se najubavo do tebe - all the best to you!

I see you're from Chicago; are you from Chicago, Indiana, or Milwaukee area? There are a bunch of Serbs and Macos in that area (I'm from Indiana).

toni4veka, from what I read on this forum and heard from various sources, expedite request criteria vary from consulate to consulate. Therefore I recommend to try if you have a good reason.

Here are some criteria: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-iv-expeditedappointment.asp

The process: The request should go to NVC, but then NVC is forwarding it to the consulate asking for a decision. The consulate then emails NVC providing the decision. Next, NVC emails the requestor.

You can contact a senator/congressman or their office for support. Such a request carries a lot more weight.

Good luck.
