What do you mean by Scan date?

Any time you send documents to NVC (by mail or email) they will SCAN your documents into their imaging system. Call them to confirm they have received your AOS and IV packet and ask them as of WHAT date. Good luck. You may want to read the wiki for more information.

I was waiting 40 minutes and nobody answered. What is the best time to call them?

I am so upset with everything, worried, and I don't know what I did wrong. This waiting is way to long, from 22 January.I understand if they send me checklist, but no answer at all make me so sad

Either first thing when they open (7:00am eastern time) or just before they close (11:00pm-12:00am eastern time). Edited March 30, 2015 by shippingforecast

Unfortunately you have to just wait on hold. I've waited upwards to 50 minutes to speak with someone. As long as you're in queue and it's not too close to closing time (midnight EST) they'll eventually answer. I know it's difficult but you have to try to be patient if you want to at least speak with someone. You may have done nothing wrong so try not to get yourself all worked up over nothing, it could just be they're taking a little longer to process. Try and call them again and wait to speak with someone to at least give you some semblance of peace of mind. We all understand exactly what you're going through. Good luck!

Just got off the phone with NVC! Case complete 3/27/15! SD 2/26/15.

Thank you to everyone in this group for all of your ongoing support and helping keep me sane through this process!! Crossing my fingers and saying my prayers for all those still waiting for case complete, especially those whose scan dates came before mine! Your time is coming soon, and all of this will be worth it when we're reunited with our spouses!!

Here's hoping for a week full of many more CC!!

3 NA's showed up about an hour ago, called NVC and was told case got completed today. Scan date march 9th. Thank you all for the wealth of information you all gave. Sending speedy vibes of CC your way! It still beats my imagination that my case took just 21 days. ...I still haven't come out of the shock!

it is frustrating, but like others have said, you need great patience when calling. having a speaker phone works great, put it on speaker and you can go about doing whatever. I've had better luck in the evening, say after 9 EST. it is very upsetting, but you have to do this....NVC needs to know you want your spouse!!!!

Just off the phone with the NVC. Case complete confirmed over the phone as of 03/30/2015.

Scan date 02/25/2015.

No 3 n/a's on ceac though.

im so happy for the people who got approved and hoping we are next, it is so sad to see people who got their cases received in Feb, 2015 received are already done with the NVC and our case was received in Oct, 2014 and it is still not touched! that is totally insane, really feeling like crying

My scan date is 2/23/15 and I'm not seeing 3 N/As and most people with the same scan date already rcvd their CC so I'm feeling nervous. I hope I do not get a checklist.
