Hi to everyone out there in visa waiting land and good luck! :)

Was wondering if we could use my fiance's assets to prove support? We live in Germany and I won't be living or working in the States at the time of the interview. I haven't really worked the last couple of years but my fiance sold his house in the UK and we are sitting pretty for money at the moment. I've been told by our lawyer that it should be fine but other forums I've been to have stated that it doesn't work and that we should get a sponsor.
