Anyone have any experience rescheduling their interview at Montreal? I'm having a hard time figuring out the system as there's not much information about it.

I tried to register my case number on their new website but it says that my case is not ready for interview (NVC sent me P4 on Friday and today is a holiday, so I figure they won't have it in their system for a couple of days?) When I finally do get to register on their new website, is there a list of available interviews I would be able to choose from or do I send in a request asking for a change in date?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Recheduling is almost impossible. You'll have to contact the Montreal consulate via their online form after your case has arrived. It likely won't be sent until tomorrow at the earliest if it was not sent Saturday.

Calling the NVC before the file has left would have been the easiest way to reschedule your interview.

Just an FYI for those that are trying to reschedule their appointments.

I was able to do mine on the web portal a couple weeks after receiving my P4 letter. I guess that's how long it takes to process the cases into their system. Was pretty painless and there is a calender that shows you available days.

Just created an account here. https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/users/sign_in/iv

Logged in, registered my Loomis location, and when I hit continue, it gave me the option to schedule an appointment.

You may want to confirm with Montreal consulate as well.

Would they be able to answer that on the phone or should I email them?

You can't do either, you have to complete an online form.

Would that be the public inquiry form here? http://canada.usembassy.gov/contact/public-inquiry-form.html

Their website does say to use montreal-iv-dv@state.gov for Immigrant Visa Questions, do you know what that email is for?

Thanks! This is confusing.

I created my loomis account but for me my appoitment date was alredy showing there and I didnt have any option to change or reschedule.

I wonder if the option is there when you register before the embassy gets your files from NVC as they wouldnt have the interview date updated on file?

You can certainly try that email But that was the form I meant yes.

Was your case status at ready before you signed up on loomis?

Yes it was. For about a week. I wonder if I've stumbled upon a glitch. I sure hope not.

Guess it worked because I just got an email from the embassy saying they confirmed my rescheduling. Nice. Might be a glitch but guess it worked out.

nice! were you able to get an earlier date or later one? I am trying to reschedule to an earlier one. Not sure if its worth it emailing the consular via their form
