I responded to a question about how Italy would recognize gay marriage.

My response to that question was correct as long as Italy accepts k1 visas. ( of course it'll have to be sent to uscis)

My information was not wrong.

So unless you're going to tell me why I was, I'm going to leave it here.

All of this is irrelevant to the topic at hand because as I said before, DCF is not for I-129F petitions.

I also will like to know why you think the other person answer is irrelevant to this topic. The answer seem kind of relevant to me except for the DCF which you mention. I could be wrong but I do not remember seeing that in the answer

Well the best you could actually do is file for k1 visa (I-129F) and forward that to Dallas Texas lockbox (as all k1 visa is being routed there) then look for a co-sponsor that will fall under 125% poverty line and it should be a US Citizen. Your beneficiary's assets is useless as supporting documents for I-130. In my opinion this is your best shot "may be". Good luck though

In your first post, you said, "The initial i129f petition is going through the U.S. embassy." That is wrong -- USCIS handles the petition. In the context of our ongoing discussion on whether DCF was possible, that is confusing because it makes it sound like you're saying that it is possible (and so that's why the petition goes to the embassy), when in fact it is not.

After re-reading the rest of what you wrote after that initial statement, it sounds like you're referring to processing the I-129F in the US, like everyone else does, and your information appears to be correct. I was referring to the lockbox.

I take back the word embassy.
