SSN Name Mismatch - Where to Fix? [split topic]

I got the same problem last week when I went to SSA office to change name to my married name. My name is mixmatch and the lady said I need to go the immigration to solve te problem. Where to go homeland security or Local USCIS? I even asked letter from the lady who assit me and she did sign it. And come back afterwards. Or I go back there and tell them to run the reverification for the second time.
