Hello everyone,

I went for my interview on the 21st of January 2015 in Montreal, I was approved at the interview and was told that I would receive my passport/visa in 1-2 weeks. It has been 26 days now since my interview and still no sign of a waybill number, no phone call, no update on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/

I am getting a little worried that something happened to it, or the website doesn't work.. Has this happened to anyone else? I tried calling Loomis to see if they could check if it was there and she said without the waybill number she couldn't do anything.

Hi,

I was talking with another Canadian who was having the same issue. The website usvisa has undergone an update, and after I interviewed I had to re-register and was issued a new password. Did you do this? Loomis will not do anything for you. The person I was chatting with interviewed on Feb 4th and just on Friday the 13th got an email from Loomis. I don't expect to hear for another week, especially with today being a US holiday.

You have been waiting an unusually long time. If I were you I would contact the consulate and ask if iyour visa has been shipped, and explain that you do not have a waybill number. Also, if you haven't done so, check your spam or junk mail. Sometimes things slip between the cracks.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello, thanks for the quick response! Yes, I re-registered the day after they updated the website and got an email confirming I signed up, I sent an email to the Montreal Consulate and I sent a personal inquiry form today. I also checked everywhere in my email and I have nothing from Loomis or the CSC website.

I am a little worried something went wrong with my visa if other people are getting their visas delivered before me even after having a later interview date... I think I've done everything I could do to find out where it is. Unfortunately, I don't think I can call the Montreal US Consulate, I think they only have an email...

Hello ... I had my interview Friday Jan.30th...still no visa in hand .. But on Friday I got an email from loomis with my waybill number and an hour later I got another email from the Montreal embassy saying my visa had been sent out and I should get it within 5 business days . I don't know what's going on there, I'm almost 3 weeks waiting too. When I got the loomis email I called them ... So I could pay the extra to have it sent to my houses cuz the nearest loomis to me is 5 hours away. The girl told me that there have been a few issues with the ceac update and loomis... She told me its showing that it left the embassey but there are no scans on her file and the dhl tracker has not been updated ! So I don't know what's going on ... I just wish it would hurry up and get here.

That's so weird, I have read a lot of posts on here saying that the website that updates you on your waybill number is sometimes unreliable. Hopefully we both get our passports/visa back this week! I wouldn't be so stressed out if it weren't for the fact that I was told only 1-2 weeks... I've read that some people actually went to the Loomis pick-up place even without their waybill number and asked for them to look and they found it. I am wondering if I am going to have to do that..

Hey TheAri... Dose your DOS say issued yet ... Because mine was in AP forever and then on Thursday 12th it changed to ISSUED, then on Friday 13th is when I got the email from loomis and embassy. I live in Sault Ste.Marie and the nearest loomis is North Bay ... 5 hours away ... do you know what the weather is like up here in northern Ontario ! I really do not want to drive there to get it ! I hope it comes this week .

Do you mean when I put it into the CEAC to check my application status? All it says is that I am ready to go for my interview... Even though I already went. It's telling me nothing. I have no information on my visa at this point.

Yeah, I really hope you get yours soon also, I am sure you wouldn't want to drive 5 hours regardless of the weather. I hope I get mine this week.

The status of your visa has to say ISSUED before they send it to you . When you check your status dose it say nonimmigrant visa on the top and issued under it ? DOS (Department of State) check visa status .

This how my status went :

January 30th - during interview " Aministrative Processing" (immigrant visa)

January 30th to Feb. 3 - "Ready" (immigrant visa)

Feb. 4th - Administrative Processing ( changed to non-immigrant visa)

Feb. 12th - ISSUED

Feb. 13th - emails from loomis and embassy

That's the right wedsite ? It should ask for the visa type and then it asks for your MTL 000000 number when you put that info in, a small box pops up that tells you the status of your visa . Ready means that it is ready to be looked at - administrative processing means the are working on it and Issued means it's done and being sent to you. If it just says ready something is not right and I would email the embassy. Try a goggle search " visa status department of state . Open it and put in visa type and MTL000 number and that little box should pop up with your status

My status just says Ready, that's it. I know it's weird that that's all it says, I have already messaged the Montreal US Consulate and filled out a personal inquiry form on the Canada US Embassy website. I guess all I can do is wait for a reply.

Oh I feel bad for you:-( .... my visa is a K 1 visa so it's a bit different than yours . I checked this site to see if others with 1R-1/CR visa got theirs yet and most got them within a week or two . I don't know what else to tell you except I hope it all works out soon . This whole process just sucks. My fiancé and I live 20 mins apart . I'm in Sault ste marie Ontario and he is in Sault ste marie Michigan . We see each other almost everyday and we have to spend all this time and money on this. Wow I can't wait till it's over . Good luck to you .. Hopefully you will hear from them soon !

It's not issued yet. You may want to contact the Montreal consulate via their online form.

I contacted their email and I filled out the online form on the Canadian Us Embassy site. I've done all I can so far, I just have to wait I guess, thanks.
