This sounds like a silly question that answers itself, but ....

On the I-129F NAO2 there is a number in the box with the Beneficiary's name. It is in the for of "A999 999 999". Is this the "A-Number" that is asked for on the ASO (I-485) and EAD (I-765) forms?

I completely overlooked this number throughout the entire visa process. If this is the right number, then others who are filing for permanent residency might want to know that where this number is.

Thanks so much. This site and the people who visit it are a wonderfully helpful resource. Good luck on your journey.

The Alien Number is the same as the "USCIS #" but has a preceding A. Current green cards and work permits use "USCIS #," which confused me since some forms and documents (such as my state's healthcare exchange) use "Alien Number" and don't necessarily mention other terms used.
