I am about to file for my husbands AOS, do I mail in the petition and I 485 at the same time?

If you husband is here in the US, you file the I-130 and the I-485 at the same time.

Please read the instructions for both forms VERY CAREFULLY in order to find out what additional forms are needed and what initial evidence is needed when you file.

i'm assuming your husband is in the US. the answer is yes, and there are a few other forms that USCIS requires too. if i'm not wrong, we had to file the I485, i130, i864, g325a's (one for sponsor one for beneficiary), i693. you can also file the i131 and i765 for free, but i didn't file those.
