California filing?

So after looking at the Immigration Timelines I noticed that there were two service centers listed, California and Texas.

My Fiancee lives in California but we were going to send it to the Dallas Lockbox, but I don't see the point in that if she lives in California and the California service center has much shorter wait times...

I guess my question is, how do we file at the California service center instead of the Texas service center and where do we send it to?

*Edit*: This is for the K-1 Visa.

Everyone files at the Dallas lockbox. It is the intake facility for all petitions regarding to K1 and then the documents get distributed to the actual service centers. Don't worry, if you use you California address, you will end up at CSC.

What do you mean by this? They will notice my Fiancees address is in California and will send it to the California Service Center or we put the California Service Center address on a document?

You should read the USCIS website as it informs you of exactly where to send your petition. You can no longer send petitions to service centers. As the OP said above there's only the Dallas lockbox that accepts K1 petitions and then they route your petition to either CSC - California or TSC - Texas depending on which state the petitioner lives. Your fiancée lives in California therefore it will be routed there.

Good luck on your journey :)

All K1 Visa applications are being sent to Dallas, Texas regardless from which state you are at. Then from there they'll distribute it to either Texas or California. Let's just hope that your case will be forwarded to California as recently there's no guarantee that your case will be sent to California even he/she resides in Cali. Good luck!

It is the way it is, you want your fiancee to come to the US, you will follow their instructions. It is their ball game, their ball field, their rules.....

Unfortunately, because one's Fiance or Spouse lives in California, doesn't mean that's where the petition will end up at. My husband, the Petitioner, lives in California, and, our petition got sent to Nebraska (of all places!!)) BOOOOOOOOOOOOO  I've been told Nebraska is as bad as the Texas CSC. I wasn't thrilled when I was told that

You are not doing K-1 visa. There are only two service centers CSC or TSC, for that. the I-129f petitioner is sent to the Dallas lockbox then the I-129f petitioner is sent to one of the two locations Edited by j&ana
