hi everyone!

i just finish filling up my ds-230 form when i noticed that in the question for place of birth i put the new name of the province instead of the old name which appeared in my birth certificate and the one i used in the I-130...now im stuck with a question of whether ill just cross it..put the old name and sign my initials..or put the old name and specify that the other address is the old one and the other is the new name..wahhh..pls help me ..im in big trouble

I would put note stating the name of the province was changed from that to the current one. Goodluck!

or should i print a ds -230 form from the website ..use it instead and discard the one that was sent to me by the NVC ( just the 1 page where i committed the mistake..would that be acceptable?

better to print another one...

its better to be safe than having an RFE later...

many use the forms from the net...

Hi,

If you make a mistake on a form a simple line through the mistake is what you need to do. Then write the correct response next to it, or, you can fill out a new form...downloaded copies are fine.
