I think you need to reread what you write on the subject and think about how it comes across to others, since it isn't only me so has reached that conclusion.

You are trying to justify marginalising people. I don't agree with that.

I had one buy a Prius yesterday. Oh my she was full of self righteousness. I tip toed around that woman. I offred to get her a new Obama sticker, since her old one was on her trade. I asked her why she wanted a Prius. She said she wanted to make a social statement .

It was odd. She had wrecked her car and had it towed to our place. It was closing time and about 18 degrees outside., wind howling. The rental desk was closed already and I had stayed an hour late waiting on her. I told her I would carry her home and come get her the next morning. I used my own time and vehicle for this. At this point I had no idea if she was interested in buying or not.

My GM said he wanted a copy of her drivers License. So I went outside and asked her . She got pissy. I tried to explain it was just standard policy when an employee was going off with someone, and they he had not even seen her, and please to not take it personally. She snarled, Well ! I am the one that is in more danger. I started to tell her , never mind ma'am. It's 18 degrees and dark, have a nice walk home.

If you were true to your beliefs you would have turned her over to another salesperson.
