That's the easy one. When our first petition was pending....my fiance and I filed for him a visitors visa and he got it within 3 weeks from beginning to end of applying.

my fiancée doesn't work right now and is attending few useful learning courses in India. I understand each case is different. Last thing We want is getting her visitors visa rejected and it affecting our K1 /GC process in the future..

But thanks for your reply. I'll sleep on it and perhaps use b1/b2 as a last resort.

Cheers!!?

Mine doesn't work and wasn't work by when we got the visa. He is a full time PHD chemical engineer student. He will be finish between July and October. They gave him a visitors visa for two years. He was just honest ....the interviewer already knew about it the k1 and ask him about it. It was our last resort as well.

I don't mean to be negative or discouraging but it might also depend on the country of citizenship of the fiance. I'm from India too like you and most cases I've seen there have got their visitor visas rejected while an immigrant visa is in process. In fact, it is always difficult for a person in their 20s or early 30s to get a visitor visa issued, maybe because that age group has the highest risk of visa overstay.

Just thought I should give you a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. I've heard stories too. I guess it's just a hit n miss. Few of my younger cousins in their early 20s visited US for few weeks and went back after a Vegas trip and some shopping;)

quick question..my text and email confirmation states my receipt number starting with SRCxxxxxxxxxx . Does that mean that my case will be processed in Texas [sRC/TSC] or is there a slight chance that the case may still get transferred to CSC [ Cali] by some miracle ? I'm Still waiting for a hard copy of NOA1 ..
