Father Obtaining Work Visa

My Filipina wife's father has been approved by a company to work in the U.S. It would be on an E-1 visa, which, of course would need to be approved by the U.S. Consulate in Manila. He has done this before, about 10 years ago, and honored it's expiration by returning to his home and family in Manila.

My question is, will it be harder for him to gain approval for this temporary visa since he now has a family member (my wife) living here in the U.S. as a permanent resident?

He would need to declare her presence, unlikely to have any impact.

Thanks Boiler, good to know. Yes, he has no intention of misrepresenting, nor does he plan on staying beyond the visa. We just wanted to find out if her being here hurts his chances of being approved for it.
