I-130 filed. Should I provide more information after filing?

I am the petitioner and filed form I-130 DCF in Bangkok on January 27 2015, but I really gave only the minimum needed to file plus included Facebook and Skype chat logs for the past 2 years plus only 1 picture of us together. The officer accepted the I-130 and said I would hear back from them in a month.

Ever since I filed, I have been thinking about sending some more information such as more pictures of us together, a history of our relationship, copies of plane tickets for trips we have taken together, etc. Do you think it will help?

It definitely would have been beneficial to front load all of those items when you filed. If you have someone looking at the file wondering if your relationship is legit and they don't have bonafide evidence necessary then you will likely be asked for more. This causes a delay in your processing. I am not sure how it works with DCF. Does it stay there and they are the ones to approve the petition? Then it goes to NVC?

If you do have a red flag, for example you are a lot older than your wife then it might be beneficial, and no harm in trying , if not then i'm sure you are fine!

We didn't file DCF but its the same adjudication process. We found that married along with the certificate was enough for the embassy. We had been married two years with my husband living in Thailand during that time period. There wasn't one question about our relationship. We were together at the interview. They even asked my husband to come up to the window. Still they didn't really question our relationship. There were some polite questions but nothing more. All they had or needed was minimum info. That entire interview took 15 minutes. My husband is older than I but it made no difference.

The embassy in BKK works on about 700 cases per month. Every case that originates in the USA is sent to the consulate section. Cases are transferred to the I V unit where they join the other types of cases for review and insertion of the visa if approved.

I am not sure how it works with DCF. Does it stay there and they are the ones to approve the petition? Then it goes to NVC?

NVC is not involved in a DCF filing. The initial filing is done at the overseas USCIS office (housed in the Embassy or Consulate complex) and once they complete their processing, the file is sent straight over to the Immigrant Visa unit or to the appropriate Immigrant Visa unit within the same country.

Thanks for the answers. I guess I will wait to see if we get an NOA2 within the next few weeks (maybe months) or an RFE.
