Hi guys, me again..

We are just about to FINALLY file our application off, just wanted a bit of advice for filling really. We've read the guidlines on filing, just curious to see how people here packaged things up... use folders coz of lots of paper? what kinda methods...

Also a burning question for my wife being .. how detailed did you get with the table of contents?? literally list each item in the package and any preference to what gets listed first??

Any help is mucho appreciato!

going through HELL

I used a 2-hole punch at the top and an acco fastener to keep everything together. We did submit a lot, so I used the 2-inch acco fastener and legal size front-back cover. I also used post-it notes at the bottom of the first paper for each section labelling as it corresponded with the category list I provided with my cover letter.

The 2-hole punch with acco fastener makes it easy for them to disassemble and reassemble if necessary. The labelling each section just makes it easy for them to go to a section if they want without having to flip through every piece of paper...they can also remove the post-it if they need to, and it will not damage the paper if they do.

Good luck to you!

I listed in this order:

  1. G-28 Signed by Attorney and Petitioner
  2. Completed and signed I-130 with bank check for 190.00 fee
  3. Photo 1 each of Petitioner and Beneficiary
  4. G-325A Petitioner (4 pages)
  5. G-325A Beneficiary (4 pages)
  6. Proof of Citizenship Petitioner
  7. Marriage Certificate Petitioner and Beneficiary (includes certified English translation)
  8. Divorce Certificate Petitioner
  9. Birth Certificate Beneficiary (includes certified English translation)
  10. Evidence Category List

I did not list every single item from the evidence category list, it was better to list these items out only on the category list we provided, there were 28 items of evidence listed on this page.
