Has anyone immigrated into the US through Dublin airport?

Hello! My husband finally got his interview date at the London embassy so we're beginning to look at flights in the weeks after. He will be traveling from Manchester to San Francisco. The best flights have a stopover in Dublin. I have flown through Dublin before and know there is a US pre clearance procedure in that airport. AKA you go through customs and border patrol in Dublin and then when you land in the US, it's as if you were on a domestic flight. I am wondering has anyone immigrated through this airport and if so, does the visa inspection happen in Dublin? And what is it like? Thanks!

Since your husband will be arriving on a IR/CR visa he will be processed in Dublin as he will become a LPR. Dublin is as good as POE as any other US airport. Don't worry, he'll be fine.

Good luck!
