seems like you are anxious about it drug testing you have been posting more than once. You may call SLEC regarding your concern. They did not specifically mention what urine and blood test is it for. But i am sure they test for pregnancy and HIV.

Ha more than anxious. Thanks. Is it cool to just ask them that?

Ask them if it bothers you, you may want to check this thread about admission of drug use during medical exam

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/507044-admission-of-drug-use-at-st-lukes-is-my-visa-automatically-denied/

but just be honest about whatever they ask, because if you don't they will find it out sooner or later. Good luck!

They don't do drug test, just evaluate you if u admit u used or smoke drug before, the questions is just about the history of your family, they will give you a paper to answer all the questions there and the psychiatric will asked the same question what you answered on the paper better u tell the same answer or else they will evaluate you again!

To the people here has failed the drug test (in SLMEC), i'd like to know why you failed it (how long ago you smoked or whatever), what test they administered, and if they asked for your consent or informed you of the test? Thanks!

Only people who failed the drug test admitted to it during the medical interview.

If they USEM really cared they would do a drug test, but for now they seem to only care if someone is dumb enough to admit to it...........

He was denied a visa because he admitted to substance abuse, right? They didn't deny it because they tested for drugs? If so I'd like to know if it was a blood or urine test

I had my medical recently this January at SLEC I said no to all questions about taking drugs etc.. Because its the truth I have no problem with my medical exam and just waiting for my interview date. i think Slec do drug test or maybe no.. Drug test can be done by blood and urine. Blood is the most sensitive for drug test. so if it is positive then its really postive. But then again on my own opinion its up to u to say yes and give details about taking drugs etc.. As I said, I know someone who said no to all the question about drugs during the medical but then on the interview at embassy that person admit that he took drugs 2 days before the medical exam (which is true) and visa was denied. Maybe that person has a clue in mind that he may have a postive drug test on the exam and the consul is just catching him. So if he did not admit it with the consul and if they show the result to him he may be he will be acused of lying, or i don't know. well I don't know why he reaaly admit it on the interview date. But one thing is for sure, after admiting it, his visa application was denied due to reason of substance abuse.

There is also an implied question about consenting to a drug test. My understanding is that you have consented to all necessary medical tests up to the discretion of the physician when you complete the registration process at SLEC. If you don't want to consent, then don't apply for the visa...
