I'd very much like to know what happens to minors who test positive on their drug tests for their medical exam. The minor in question is my niece. She goes to parties and hangs out with people and may be exposed to some substances without having directly consumed any. If you'd like some specifics, think car filled with smoke and said niece in the same car on a night out with friends. Anyway, she's 16, and she's put everything on hold waiting for the big move. I'd like some insight on what happens if she does get tested and the results turn up positive. What do we do next? How do we handle it? Any and all feedback and advice will be appreciated, thanks!

Quick follow up- Is the medical examination drug test a blood test or a urine test. Because knowing which would help us understand what chances we have and how much time we have before her examination.

Also from the Philippines for specificity.

Nope. Never used those things.

SLEC will ask her if she ever used them, what kind and when.

Thanks, but I'd like to know if you had to personally go through a mandatory drug test during your medical exam. I want to know if the test is a required part of it or if its prompted by stating that you have done drugs. Thanks again :)

Thanks. But I'd like to know if you yourself personally had to go through a mandatory drug test during your medical exam (if you have had it), or if the test itself is a requirement or only prompted by confirming drug use. Thanks again!

They don't do drug tests. They never do.

If you ADMIT to using drugs, depending on when's the last time you used it (for example: a couple months before your medical), that will land you a one year ban.

This information is wrong, tgey do drugs testvto everybody.

Wgen you go to medical they take blood and they do all kind of test, and drugs test is one of them

It doesnt matter if you answer that you havent done drugs, in the exam they do drugs test.

They don't do drug tests. They never do.

Wrong information.

How do you think that they ban people for use drugs?

Do you think that they ban people only if people admit the drugs use?

Then who is going to be so stupid and admit drugs use?

How peoole get ban?

Of course they get ban because the medical exam results.

It doesnt matter if you anser that never havent used drugs, the proof is the drugs test.

All people how do medical exam to travel to usa get drugs test.

Why do you think people are baned at the interviiew?

Because they open the medical results, many people are exposed to drugs without use it, they answer that never use drugs, but they are baned at the interview because the test is positive.

They don't do drug tests. They never do.

Yes there was someone on here about 2 years ago from Morocco I believe said he went out partying a few evenings before his medical and his friends were getting not him and it showed up in his urine and he got a 1 year ban for failed medical. So it does happen.

Supposition must be that she takes them as well, seems odd that a parent would let a 16 year old hang out in a druggie environment.

Guys, I'm referring to the medical in the Philippines. They don't do drug tests there. I have a friend whose brother ADMITTED to using marijuana 2 months prior to his medical. He got a one year ban. He was not required to do any drug tests to prove his clean or not.

It guess it depends on the country.

That sounds reassuring but I wonder if they didn't require a test cause he already admitted it? Also how did that go for him and his visa application after?
