......im still trying to understand this crazy immigration system. And why they allowed so many applicants to remain STUCK in VSC for so long before transferring our cases to CSC.

but yet, to have this many applicants from late 2013PD like myself, who have STILL not yet received their NOA2.... and from all accounts and speculation, we are probably 4-6months from our PDs being current.....how does this not spell a retrogression?

they are going to have to move the VB ahead significantly before the end of this fiscal year, because they have to use up the visa allotments for 2014. So unless they can allocate all the remaining visas to all the SEPT2013 petitioners who have CC....they will be forced to push the VB ahead to JAN/FEB/MARCH 2014.......bypassing the late 2013 filers who will not be CC, then they will STOP DEAD. Because at some point all of us late 2013 will get our CCs and then they will be forced to retrogress back on the VB to pick us all up.

this system is so illogical...I could scream!

my husband and I are still here waiting for NOA2...and this is going into the 17th MONTH of waiting.....and yet there are those who filed in 2014 and already have case complete!!!! this is so unfair. There is really no regard for the F2A category and the massive strain this puts on people's families and finances.

I know it is really unfair system to everyone specially for permanent residents who wish to bring their family members. What I do not understand is here in the UK if someone has indefinte leave to remain (Permanent Resident) he/she is eligable to bring family members around the same time frame as the UK citizen. It is really upsetting being stuck in this process.

If a retrogression hit us I will be really devestated because I am hoping to finish everything by the end of the year and move to US by Dec 2015 in God's will or earlier. I hope you all get your NOA 2 by the coming week and NVC finishes with our case before it becomes current.

Please do not lose hope dear as we are all in the same situation. Do you think there will be a retrogression in the fiscal year 2015?

Hi Habel....obviously this is not a good day for me! the waiting is getting to me....and it doesn't help reading all about the May2014 filers who have case complete!! Its just the F2A category that is unfair to spouses....all other categories get special consideration for their spouses. But, unfortunately for us, our spouses are subject to visa quotas. Hence our intrinsic problem....

I don't know if there will or will not be a retrogression - I just know that my family has experienced it before when we filed for another family member and it was not fun. Our takeaway from that is not to take anything for granted with the US immigration process. So in your case get to case complete as soon as you can. As I have seen here on VJ, even 1 day can make a world of difference to your immigration journey. I'm just so worried that they haven't given us enough time to complete our cases before our PD comes current - but I think your goal of December 2015 is very realistic. Even if there is a retrogression, I don't think it will affect 2013 filers as much....its more the mid 2014-2015 filers that it would affect (IMHO)

I remember when I first joined VJ (wide-eyed and busy tailed!) ...that was in 2013....the retrogression had just happened...I couldn't understand why there were still people from 2011/2012 who were still waiting for visas. if my memory serves, I asked a 2011 or 2012 filer why they hasn't gotten their visa all this time (I just thought they hadn't bothered to process their case with NVC)...but he said that he had been waiting for USCIS approval. Now I see what he was talking about.

Habel - look how long we were stuck in VSC before someone finally thought it may be a good idea to transfer these folks to CSC - a center that was roaring ahead and approving 2015 filers! (dripping sarcasm in my comments). This is just not an efficient system - there is no co-ordination at all....

Anyway, the wonderful news for you is that you have a clean NOA2 - with no RFE and you can proceed! Until I get my approval, I'll be crossing my fingers that there is no RFE to delay us....

anyway, enough of my ranting!!!!

Stay strong dear and you never know your approval will come tomorrow at 10pm US time inb God's will. I understand your fraustration and you are allowed to rant anytime in this sub topic as we all are in the same boat as you and we are hear to comfort one another. I hope God almighty listen to everyones prayer. Stay postive sis anytime you need any assistance please feel free to private message me or here. All the best of luck sis.

As much it frustrating as process is, look at bright sight of all this because I remember it used to take 4 to 5 yrs for spouses of LPR to come to US. In my case(Children under 21 of LPR) delayed approval was life saver because it gave us extra 16 months on age. My sister is just turn 21 so USCIS took 16 months to approve petition so that we get extra time. I hope that even we started late, we can catch up to process in time to get case completed.

sbai2000, I really identify with you. I have been silent about the discussion on this link because for the past one week, I have also been down psychologically. I receive these mails in my box but don't usually log into the website because I have been frustrated myself. I have been keeping so much to myself. In fact, my husband thought it was Country-related, that may be because we are Nigerians that that is the reason the process is slower. The truth is, we are already thinking of him coming back home to stay because if USA won't want us to together as man and wife, why not just stay in our home country and be together. My marriage will be 5 in few months' time. I still can't boast of being a married woman in every sense of the word.

In as much as what Nilx25 said was true, it is no longer same. Why would fiance/fiances get to be together under a year, condition or no condition attached,(no grudge intended) and people who are legally married get to be separated for this long. We have been consoling ourselves but I know that if by this year's anniversary, the immigration process still seems bleak, I definitely will encourage my husband to come back home for good. What is the essence of great opportunities in the USA if you can't be with your partner. It is so unfair. I witnessed a friend's wedding here in Nigeria, July 25/26, 2014. The husband in UK, I tell you that he started the filing process after he returned to the UK in August, and before November, same year, the wife has joined him.

They should think of families, I beg to disagree with the saying that America encourages family being together. This process says otherwise. My husband went for his Naturalization Interview last month, he was told to go back as paperwork would be sent to him, till date, no news.

And yes, sbai2000, had it been we also received the transfer notice, it would have been more encouraging. It is disheartening.

Habel and others, I know you always have kind words to give but the truth is, this process is so unfair. We are also human and we need to be with our loved ones. Even if not for the sole purpose of procreation, we need to be together to take care of each other. My husband is so tired of cooking by himself, and even sometimes, he just go to bed hungry and tired. He needs me, I need him. Family members are good to be around with, but I really need my husband. By the time the next bulletin is released, it should be up to Sept 1, 2013 or beyond. Our PD is Oct. 7, 2013, still no progress.

sbai2000, yes, pls feel free to express urself, I do same with my sisters here and even wept last week. Yes, I know we will all scale through soon, but we need to know when.
