I-751 odds and ends plus number on back of check

Hello,

I just want to make sure I understand the possible steps with the I-751 application.

1--send in application and verify received via post office tracking number.

2--receive noa acknowledging receipt that acts as a letter allowing one year travel

3--receive noa for biometric appointment. This is he number that can be tracked in the uscis system

4--wait for possible interview, rfe, or acceptance/denial notification

5--I am with California service center (Laguna Niguel) and it seems a wait of about 6 months

Is there anything else that is received or steps to be aware of?

My check when it clears uscis has a case number on the back. Does anyone know if it is the number for step 2 or 3 above?

Sounds about right to me. Just waiting here as well. However, given the September filers at CSC it might be less than 6 unless they slow down.

I'm not sure what you mean by the check having a number on the back. They change all of our checks to electronic funds transfers so I don't think there is anything for you to refer to. Does your bank show when your check is changed to EFT? Mine only shows the EFT and the amount and who it is from. No check view or cancelled check like a regular check.
