Hi

My category is F2A. and my case is in NVC right now.

NVC recieved my AOS and civil documents Dec/10/2015

They did not answer me after 60 days.

When i called they told me that they should check if I can benefit the CSPA (child status protection act) because I am over 21. But when form I-130 was filled I was under 21.

By the way, I do not know my status right now. I even do not know I am in which step of the process.

I did not find a "CSPA" step in travel.state.gov

Is it a step after reviewing AOS documents? Were AOS documents complete?

why they did not check CSPA before I sent AOS documents?

Do have any idea how long it will take to check CSPA?

Google "CSPA calculator" and enter your dates to see if CSPA will help you.

Thank you. But the calculators wants the date my visa became available.

How can i know when my visa became available?

Look at the Visa Bulletin. You will have to look to see when your Priority Date first became current.

in the "priority date became current" same as "visa became available"?

In visa bulletin page i should first select the Fiscal year.

which year should i choose?

i just have a letter that said my priority date is 13/dec/2011

and approved filed date is 07/july/2013

I really appreciate your help

Sorry but if you intentionally delayed processing your case then you're no longer covered by CSPA.

Check the priority date archives. You have to go thru every single month, probably year 2012-2013, so you can find the exact month/year your PD became current.

Good luck!

Sorry I am asking too many questions.

can u see the attachment (picture) please? Did I check the date correctly?

In addition, on July 10th 2014 NVC sent me an email in response to my question. NVC said that it appears I can benefit CSPA. But final determination will be make by consular officer.

I was born in Aug/29/1991

If you didn't file a DS-230 within a year of your priority date becoming current (and it looks like yours became current in August 2013) then you lose protection under CSPA. You have now aged out into F2B, and have around a seven year wait for it to become current once more, this time under F2B.

I filed DS-260 about 4 months ago.

NVC has sent me each step I had to take, and I did all of them!

I just wanted a delay for my education. and after that on jul 2014 they said it appears that i can benefit CSPA

I do not know how it became this much complex for me.

You had until ~August 2014 to file the DS-260, so if you filed it in about four months ago then you were too late.

The final determination lies with the embassy, and they will probably tell you that you've aged out and are no longer eligible under F2A.

we called nvc. They said that all documents were complete and in a few days they will send us an email for interview date.

In ceac.state.gov "affidavite of support fee" is now N/A. But it was PAID before!

what is it mean?
