Pending I-485 Address Change...Any ramifications in our processing time?

Hello VJ,

My wife and I have been on this site since June 2013 and you have all helped us tremendously since then, so thank you!! I always feel bad that we never started a timeline to help others follow our progress but maybe my question here can help someone now or in the future.

Currently, my wife is waiting for her I-485 to be approved (6 month today). I am assuming her application is at the Dallas field office (the Texas service center does not state processing times for "Family based" apps)...

As of Feb 11, 2015, Dallas Field Office states they are processing March 19, 2014 applications. My wife's was submitted August 12, 2014.

We recently moved from Dallas, TX to South Carolina (not at a permanent location yet but living with family) until we both finalize our jobs and find a house. My questions are as follows:

1. If we process an address change for her application, will her I-485 application be transferred to a South Carolina office (Greer, SC would be closest)?

2. Would her original submission date of August 12, 2014 remain the same and would it be processed in the same order according to her submission date?

3. If the application is transferred and say the new office is processing at a faster rate, would my wife's application be processed quicker as well? (guess this references the question above)

If any of you have any information on this, we would appreciate it immensely!
