What I find puzzling is that the bulk of the racist comments come from Asian posters, who are equally discriminated, if not more than blacks. It is the proverbial pot/kettle situation with a dose of lack of education. Speaking of chips and shoulders...

Even on VJ you get racially profiled if you post something that doesn't paint black people as some monolith of uneducated thugs and welfare queens. I guess only certain white people get to talk about black people issues. And it's always the ones who are "sick" of talking about it or bringing up the race card.

I am sure you're right but I would also presume there are websites dedicated to prejudice and bigotry where those who espouse these notions might be better served. I find it disingenuous that one should come to an immigration site to nurture such vile persuasion.

it's not like the statistic was put out there to cause harm to anyone, the numbers were misunderstood and widely repeated. now, people taking the misinfo that "there are more blacks in prison than in college" as a justification for their stereotypes towards the abilities of black men, yeah those people suck.

I believe it is also the opposite. They feel their white American spouses affords them a higher position than those married to Asians. It's the convert's paradox. The new whites try to act whiter than all other whites... Man, this is giving me a headache!
