San Jose: Man killed by police believed to have made 911 call before shooting

SAN JOSE -- As family, friends and neighbors mourn, new details surfaced Thursday suggesting 23-year-old Phillip Watkins intentionally drew the police attention that led to his death at the hands of San Jose officers.

San Jose police say it was Watkins who called 911 about a knife-wielding intruder at his fiancee's house and also affirmed witness accounts he voiced suicidal thoughts before the deadly confrontation.

They don't do that. Just like the military, you fight as you train - center mass. Add to that, major arteries run along the arms and legs. It only takes seconds, at most minutes, before the victim bleeds out.

I was trained center mass too but my wife told me that last weekend. One of the last things I told her before I left was to please shoot them center mass and not try aim to hurt after I checked her firearm and made it sure it was operational and handed it to her. She seems to think just because she hits the bulls eye of a target that it is as easy as that.
