This is the best reply here.. I was lucky to get approved at TSC last Friday with only a 74 day wait from NOA-1 in November 2014 to NOA-2 in Feburary 2015. for a CR-1.. I am Number 2 on Igor's List for TSC... Have a look there to see what is what....and Rember that this website is unknown to thousands of people as Pianoman815 stated.. This site is for entertainment purposes only.. Every case is handled differently.. This is my 2nd. time as a Filer in the past 8 years so I kinda know the system a little better than others do..

Any idea why you were approved so quickly with CR-1 when so many others are taking so long?

Any idea what might have made your case "special"?

Thanks,

Brent

I personally believe that Texas service center is just simply not working on fiancé visas at all because of the situation on homeland security, I told my fiancé since last Monday I was afraid that was gonna affect us and he said to me that has nothing to do with us but to me it does, when you send the petition it clearly says to the department homeland security" in the address and we are immigrants and they don't want more immigrants, if homeland security gets shut down they will have no way to protect themselves against immigrants that might try to hurt them, if this is the reason why they stopped working then we are gonna wait until February 27th and if homeland gets shut down I have no idea what's gonna happen

But I am still hoping I am wrong! =(

In no way do I know all the details of this, but here:

"In an ironic twist, one agency that would be largely unaffected by a DHS funding lapse is the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, which is funded predominantly by user fees and tasked with processing Obama's work permits for undocumented immigrants."

We were also a lot more chilled out about the wait in the first month after we filed (at the time, TSC was processing I129F petitions in just under 5 months). Let us know how you're feeling about it after 7 months of waiting.

You are so right!! We didn't start getting worked up until we hit over 5 months then we still had to wait another month and a half. The wait is horrible and I wish it on no one! The entire process is very long and drawn out.

I wish everyone the best of luck on their journey!

Its been over six months for me and nothing ???

Hang in there you are getting so close now!!!

The only thing I can think of is that she works for the Government in her country and the fact that she is already here for 2 weeks now on her B-1 visa she has from her job..I really do not know...

I'd love to know and why did the IGOR list stop getting updated!!?!

I could be wrong, but I think that petitions are getting approved this week, but that there is a problem with the USCIS site updating the statuses, and that's why there haven't been any timeline updates. I didn't receive any kind of notification from USCIS, but they sent a letter to my senator, whom I had submitted an inquiry to earlier, saying that my petition had been approved Feb 10th.

I disagree with Pianoman815, as I also have an Electrical Engineering degree, and my thoughts tell me I have seen every state in the US posted here. Why if only 5% is a user of this site, it would not be a fairly accurate accounting of what really goes on from east to west coast.

AS LONG as CSC is kept separate from TSC. I find Igor's List very accurate, as it missed my wife and my NOA 2 by only 6 days!!!

Also, a friend of mine, was 6 days early.

So we have a cross country of America on this site, even if only 5% of the visa's represented. this would be as accurate as a political poll in my opinion, and the 5 to 7% number is used in a political poll.

I think Igor's List is a great tool, as I remember just loving watching the people get approved, and finally, I knew within a very few days, it would be mine and my, now, wife's turn! Also, torture watching how slow Vermont Service Center was. BUT, it finally happened.

I will never forget it, was New Years Eve here in the USA, and already New Years in the Philippines, and we were on Skype, and I had a message "pop up" .,,.,."you have mail".,.,.I told her, let me see who is e mailing me on "this site".,.,,.I just totally 'lost it' in front of my bride to be, as our NOA 2 had just been sent, New Year's Eve, 2012, was 2013 in the Philippines.

One poster asked why Filipinos are being approved so quick, at both service centers, is because they are being 'expedited' due to monstrous Typhoons in back to back years, and massive loss of life and places to live. Been there, seen it!

Well had my say, just opinions, some may agree, some not.

I wish all a speedy visa!

if the processing could vary in definite from 5 to 7 month, the wait can be bearable, however when u log and find that some applications got approved in less than 2 month within the same center, it drives any sane person crazy and oh well envious :mellow: , cause everyone of us want to be with his soul mate.

It annoys me referring the reason behind expediting Philippines application to the typhoon even though some other countries are suffering from circumstances way worse. Processing time should be equal, to ensure fair chances for everyone.

Anyway we are still hoping for 6 months wait period, though our July wedding seems impossible now. :protest:

Interesting. Can you see the update when logging into your account on USCIS' site, or does it not show up there either?

Hmm...it would be weird that the CSC notifications are working but the TSCs aren't given its the same system...

Anyway, congrats on your approval - I hope you get the hard copy soon. I am so cynical today a part of me is thinking they may have just told this to the senator to get him/her of their backs.

I think people are interpreting IGOR's list incorrectly. The top table is sorted by NOA 2 received date, so if people updated their timelines in the last week but the NOA 2 date was before 5th of Feb then you won't see any changes on Igor's list.

I have been watching the chart on the right of the table nearly every day (what else can I do), July was at about 40% on Monday and is now at 50% so there are definitely applications being approved this week.

If you are 5 months or more waiting then you should be contacting TSC, then USCIS HQ and the CIS Ombudsman and also your congressman. Also Kristin has a petition so I hope all of you are signed up to that. I know some people have done this already (we've done three of them early just to add more to the "voice") and have got no where but the more people do it the harder it is to ignore the problem. So instead of flaming each other and moaning on these forums, re-direct it to the above groups. This is not directed at the people that have already tried more the ones that haven't.

All contacts and info are on the various months TSC topics (e.g. Nov), though I could summarize it if people need a summary. Also Kristin is trying a newspaper too.

We've been pushed back by the ombudsman already to wait until 5 months (we have to wait for unreasonable reply from TSC too) but we will certainly keep on trying (Even if it drives us off a cliff) rather than flame people on this board.

Hey, I just found our couple in the IGOR's list. We're #11 there. In the list there's nothing about tranfers. We mailed our case first to Lewisville, TX. But in several days it was tranfered to CA.

Feb 06 got NOA2 (checked USCIS webpage), but my fiance didn't get neither a text msg or email, and we're waiting a hardcopy of NOA2. If we get nothing till Tue, my fiance will try to contact to them.
