Joint Sponsor needs her wife to file I864a?

Hi, was just wondering, our joint sponsor would be my sister (i'm the beneficiary) and she's married.

On the AOS form, on her tax transcripts it states they are filing as married separately, she did not include her assets as she is very well over the poverty guideline (income) and she didnt not include that she is using combined income with her wife.. she did state that she is married.

does her wife still need to file an I864a? I really hope not as I dont want to drag other people into this process and my sister does not want her wife to be part of it since there's is an agreement that people who filled up an AOS form will be responsible for me.

help please? ty.
