@ Blank stare, my case was also transferred to local office where I had an interview. Sent to USCIS: Sep 2014, transferred to local office: Feb 2015, interview: July 2015. I have my case transferred because I filed a petition to my wife before 5 yrs of being PR( got my PR through marriage).

first of i got my citizenship before the interview and luckily for me...i think i had the same women for my citizenship interview and my new husbands interview. I was prepared to be ask about my relationship with my ex husband but she didnt ask anything didnt even ask why relationship ended. she simply asked question about new spouse like how and where we met and wrote down what i said. she asked me if i went to see him and we had visited for our anniversary she asked what we did to celebrate and i told her. she mostly just went through the application asking me questions i had already answered on the I-130. then at the end she said she would have to look at my file with my old spouse. So i was so worried that something would be missing from when we had adjusted our case.but that was just me worrying for no reason. if your marriage is genuine no need to worry just try to bring evdience with you i did had some pictures and she did look at those anything else i had she didnt bothered. They will look at your pass relationship to see if anything went wrong there. If everything is ok there uou should be fine.

Thanks,

This helped me so much. I have my naturalization application pending. I am afraid, i might not get my naturalization certificate by the time i get my I-130 Petitioner Interview.  I have a quick question. Did you take any evidence to prove your previous marriage was bonafide ? I had my conditions from GC removed through Good Faith Waiver. Also, it's already past 5 years since i received my GC and  i have more than 3 years of gap between the two marriages.  I think these dates will help my cause.

I Will definitely take pictures of my current marriage. Also, did they approve you on the spot or they just ask you to wait for NOA-2 also how long it took you to get NOA 2 for approved I-130, after your interview ?

Thank you so much for your response!

Three years between marriages is pretty good. Mine was way less.  I was worried that i didn't have much from my 1st marriage.  I had a couple stuff to prove 1st  marriage was bonafide but not a lot because i didn't keep a lot of things from my 1st marriage. we were divorced and that would have been my excused if they had asked but i didn't need anything because they will look through your old files. Yes i recommend bring anything you have from new marriage they know it wont be much since you are separated.

I was not approved on spot. The lady told me she knew i must miss my husband but that she had to look at my old files pertaining to 1st marriage before the decision was made. Maybe yours will be different who knows? So I did a few things soon as i got my citizenship because i was getting so frustrated about waiting.  I got citizenship in early July 2015 and immediately updated my status with the field office a couple weeks went by and i didn't hear anything so i emailed my state senator. who quickly got in touch with them and they sent me an interview letter. After going to the interview i left worried again wondering if they would find something to make my case even longer but God was on my side. a month later (September 21)  of what seemed like forever at the time i finally got NOA-2.

If you dont have citizenship by the time you get interview don't worry about it you still have your rights to you spouse!

Wow, Thank you soo much for sending positive vibes to me. I am really tired with all this process and getting emotional stress. My current marriage is also on brink with this situation. Any ways, How i can find who is my senator ? I am from Texas, Specifically Dallas-Texas. If they also hold me up after my I1-30 interview i will probably contact the senator of my state and get him involved.

From last 1.5 years my I-130 is Pending. Local Dallas office has been saying that it takes 12 months for an interview to be scheduled after it is transferred from Service center. My 12 months already passed yesterday. Since i am F2-A and priority date is not current so, i was patient. Now i am just 4-5 months behind. with my PD will be current in September 2017.

I recently got my congressman involved that USCIS is not sending me an interview letter. They responded the congressman that in next 30 days i should get something. So i am crossing my fingers for that.

I haven't still received any interview letter for my I-130. Every time i call USCIS- They send me a letter saying that i have to wait for Interview letter. MY F2A PD is still not current, but it will be current in 4 months. One of the lawyer, i contacted for review,  has scared me a bit, She is saying that, they will scrutiny my I-130 and possibly can reject if i don't retain a lawyer and i should take substantial evidences of previous marriage at I-130 Interview.

My N-400 is also not approved. I have applied 8 months ago and no Interview letter. But lawyer is saying that N-400 is under normal processing time. My Field office takes 10-11 months.

Did they ask you about your previous marriage at N-400 interview ?

At N400 interview. The lady didn't ask me any questions about my 1st marriage. The lady simply went through my application and ask me questions on there. She didnt say any thing about my name change or anything to do with my last or current marriage it was strictly about me becoming a citizen. Maybe God was on my side I didnt ask counsel from any lawyer they always scare you. And my field office was boston it takes about 5 -6 months to process and mine took alomst 5.

Im sorry you're still waiting.

If you got your conditions removed through good faith waiver that's what they will look at when you go to I-130. If they approve to remove your condition why would they reject your I130 now. They scrutinize all I130 I don't think my interviewer scrutinised mine than normal. If i were in your shoes which o was I would just forcuse on N400 now. Its just the waiting that will kill you o wouldnt worry about anything else. once you are a citizen you have a better chance of your spouse case going faster. Good luck

Yes, I got my GC based on Good Faith Waiver.  Married in OCT-2011- Received GC FEB 2012-  DVCD: OCT 2012. Waiver Filed in JAN 2013- Approved SEPT 2013.  Married again NOV 2015- Filed I-130 on DEC 2015. Pending since Then. Filed my N-400 ON NOV 2016- Pending since then.

I may take a lawyer in my I-130 Interview- Just for the safe side- But Not sure how to get an interview. Lawyer is saying They might not call me for an interview for I-130 unless my PD is current or i turn into citizen.

Hi Nay05, Thank you much for helping me during this process...

Eventually I got interview for next month- Sept 2017...

Any advice ? I am taking all the docs i can gather from my first marriage and few pics and travel documentation from my current marriage. It's quite thick file...

Do you remember any questions from your interview ? like questions pertaining to old marriage. How long did your I-130 interview lasted.. I am having mixed feelings...  feeling scared...

Great finally you are getting somewhere.  Ok so you have a thick file thats good means you have evidence for both marriages. So you should be fine. Going to I130 interview i was terrified because I didn't have much evidence from 1st marriage....do these people expect us to keep documents of our ex-spouses???

Anyways about the interview... so luckily i had the same IO from my N400 and she remebered me so that calm my nerves

She went through my application basically asked me everything that was filled out already. After going through the application she asked how we met? She asked me about pics that I had sent in with the application - she ask the date pictures where taken?

She asked if i had visited since marriage? I did for 1st year anniversary

She asked what we did to celebrate. I told her dinner and alot of fun in the bedroom after....I need her to know that my marriage was real lol...And I.also showed her a necklace i had around my neck that my husband had bought for me.  She wrote down everything i said. Thats all i can remeber her asking.

After the question she said i know you must be anxious for your husband to be with you but we.will have to review your file from 1st marriage before we can approve your case. She never asked if i had documents from the 1st marriage because she knew they would look at my file anyways. One month later which seemed.like forever waiting again check my case online and cried...finally approved.

If your marriage is real and you have proof you will be fine.  You have a right to your spouse. Good luck my friend.
