Yes, after my interview with the CO the guy at the releasing area sent me an email right away stating that they need an NBI a.k.a married name and when I got home I checked my status and is already AP. But

Hi Maricel :) sorry for the late reply... I finally got an email from Manila, IV last Feb. 17.. (i'll just summarized it)

NbI written explanation of "no criminal record" or "no pending case" for **************. Please do not follow up your request with NBI. The NBI will directly forward the result of the NBI written explanation to the Immigrant Visa Section of the USEM.

So what I did is, I called the embassy hotline and asked if there is one more email that I should wait before I go to NBI, the lady said, that is the only email I need to bring. I went to NBI the next day, while waiting, I saw a girl holding a white paper. i asked if the letter she is holding is for NBI letter of explanation she showed me and i got surprised coz her letter has the specific name of a person whom she needs to talk with, mine doesn't have so i was kinda freaking out inside that I might brought the wrong one and go back home without any accomplishment. When we enter the IRD office and the staff asked me what do I need, I handed over him the email I printed out and then he told me what I brought is not the one they need. I had to argue coz that's the USEM agent told me to do.. then he explained to me, those letter who has the name of the person are the one's who has problem and need for Quality COntrol or interview.. On my case, NBI and USEM are the one's who needs to talk.. It's like a sign of relief for me, though I feel so "epic fail" .. Then on the way home, i read the letter again and if just I read and understand it thoroughly, I will not be at the NBI at 7am :D

I'm still in Ready status..it updates everyday I think... last update was Feb 17..

have you submitted your new NBI?

If he filed today, all he has to do now is send you copies ... then you print out a copy of the 221g email and head over to 2GO

I do hope the half a year of work he had in 2014 met the bar/line.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

So I went to 2go megamall 2 days ago and sent my husband's 2014 ITR and W2. I checked the tracking number on 2go website yesterday and the status is delivered. I am now waiting if there's any changes n the dates of my ceac status. I pray that everything goes fast and well.

I know someone who has the same situation as mine. Her interview was just two days ahead of mine. She sent hers last feb 17, delievred in embassy Feb. 18 and status issued February 19. She is very lucky ;)

Hi purpleblush,

I read your thread and it looks like we have the same situation here.. as i am also lack of joint sponsorship and the consul officer also give me a 221g form to send it to 2go. i have some questions :

1. How do you send those needed documents ? is it in original ? or is it okay to send them in scanned copy?

2. How long did you wait from the day you send those needed documents via 2GO to US Embassy, from the day they issued your visa ?

I hope you help me with my mind blowing questions. I'm really at ease. :)

First off you are answering a thread that is a couple of months old. You should start your own topic.

Second, purpleblush has not been on this site since she last posted on February 19th. Another good reason to start your own thread.

If the Embassy requested additional information, you will submit those documents via the 2go courier service. Please read the 221(g) submission process for more information.

No one can say for sure when you will get your visa after submitting you documents to USEM via 2go. Sometimes two weeks and sometimes up to 6 months.

TRACK YOUR VISA/PASSPORT AT THE EMBASSY

State Dept. visa tracking: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? (not updated or as detailed as the USEM website)

Here is a link for requirements for receiving your passport and the visa, there are also options for tracking the status of your visa/passport and where it is currently. You can also change delivery options. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-passportretrieve.asp#trackingoptions

If your application was temporarily refused under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, you can now check the status of your application online. http://manila.usembassy.gov/adminprocessing2.html

Hi everyone,

I just had my interview this morning and i was approved by the american consulate but upon returning home I receive and an email from US consular Office stating the ff:

Dear ...,

REF CASE: ...

We are unable to complete the processing of your immigrant visa application under section 221 (g) of the immigration and National Act (INA), as amended, until you present the ff documents or complete required action from your end:

(no mentions of any documents)

WHAT TO DO NEXT:

-WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US: Your case requires further administrative processing/review. Wait for a letter instructing you what to do next.

I don't know what that means? does it mean that my passport is on hold for fiancee visa? Can anyone help me?

Thank you very much

Apparently they spotted something that is requiring further examination. Being the embassy did not ask for any documents at this all you can do is what is stated on the form: -WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US: Your case requires further administrative processing/review. Wait for a letter instructing you what to do next.

Hard to follow the timeline until I realized the OP was over a year old.

Wait as the letter said. If no additional response in a week or so call the USEM for clarification.

And consider starting a new thread instead of bumping a year old one.

Hi Hank_, Thank you for your reply... yes i think that's all i can do for now is to wait for their next letter since i also called them up yesterday and the same think they said to me is to wait.

Hi Brassballs, I called them up right after i read their email to me for clarification but said the same thing to me and so I instead send them an email too and hope to hear from them within 7 days. Regarding the new thread, I actually started a new thread and hoping someone will give feedbacks but sadly no one did not until i decided to join the thread to see if someone will help me and thanks for having 2 replies.. With my new thread, i had 1 reply after having a reply from this group.

Anyway, thanks again Hank_ and Brassballs for your help, appreciate it ver much :goofy:
