Gheez....

'Got the VISA/VISA Packet yesterday for the whole family. However, we noticed that there's some information which was erroneously encoded/printed in the IDS -

- Surname of the person (the petitioner) under the Permanent Address portion (this was I believe taken from DS-260)

- immediately checked our DS-260s...

- They had it wrong... Meaning, correct data in DS-260, misspelled in IDS.

In my quest for similar case/s, I stumbled upon this blog - http://blogs.usembassy.gov/philippines/tag/immigrant-data-summary/...case of misspelled city of birth and father's name.

excerpt -

Jimmy Murdochs: I understand your concern. And I’m so glad you checked your IDS thoroughly. You should know that we MUST correct errors if there’s a mistake in your name, date of birth, gender, marital status, passport number or nationality. So it is important to check your data. But the mistakes we unfortunately made in your IDS do not have to be corrected. Don’t worry. There’s no need to delay your travel because of these errors.

As for the VISA itself, everything's fine... :)
We'll give USEM a call today to clear things out.... Will keep you posted guys.... feel free to throw in your take/s... :)
Cheers!

Errors on the IDS is negligible. My husband's had an error too (his petitioner's first name was spelled wrong).

We called the embassy and they said that's quite "normal". As long as everything is correct in the VISA itself, then there's no need to worry.

My husband didn't encounter any problems at POE.
