Los Angeles officer shoots boy, 15, after seeing replica gun

The 15-year-old, who was not identified, was shot once in the upper back, while the person who had been holding the replica was not injured. The wounded boy was treated at a local hospital and released to his mother after the incident in a south Los Angeles alley, police said. No arrests have been made.

We need more guns, especially in sparsely populated areas like LA...

If only the person, standing next to the person who had a toy gun, had a real gun none of this would have happened.

We need more guns. I totally agree. If the other kid who got shot who didn't have the gun had a gun he would have never been shot by the police officer who mistaken him for having a replica gun that he didn't have.

That doesn't make any sense at all. Why would the police shoot someone with a gun? The only solution is for everyone to have guns and carry them exposed. The police won't shoot everyone and if they try they'll be outnumbered.

It becomes more and more evident the only solution for the gun violence issue is more guns! I now know what my kids are getting for their birthdays this year! Guns for everyone!
