Hey all,

So, I was wondering where my NOA for my N-400 was, when I decided to check my application, and unbelievably, I have missed the apartment number from my current address...

I know how it happened - I printed it off to check everything and realized I had checked 'suite' instead of 'apartment.' So, I went back and checked apartment, printed the whole document off again (that was the only change), and sent it off. I just now went back and checked, and when you change a check mark on the address, it removes the suite/apartment number...

Well, what should I do now? Call USCIS in the morning? File a change of address (which doesn't make sense as I haven't changed address)?

I feel incredibly stupid right now...

Update - if anyone wanted one!

I called USCIS today and spoke to a really helpful lady who updated my address and gave me a case number for that action, which makes me hopeful. I just hope I haven't delayed my case. My fear is that they will get the returned mail from the NOA and stop my case... Hopefully I caught it in time.

Plus I feel like an idiot!

Most likely what the agent did is useless. she might just updated your address which is related to your A#, and since she didn't include your case number then your N400 address won't be updated. If you are lucky, the postman may know your apartment and then he puts the NOA in the right box[ if the same person delivers your mail daily]

Once you got your case number, hopefully you sent the notification form, you call them again and request an address update. Even if you didn't receive the NOA, Try to call them once your check is cashed and talk to Level 2 Agent and he/she should be able to find your case.

Make sure you receive a confirmation from the NBC that they updated your case. [ usually it comes in the mail after a week or 2 of the update request]

They won't stop your case if they got returned mail ! Just follow up with them until you make sure they updated your case .

Thanks for the reply. I actually have the case number from the text/email and was able to give that to her and it sounded like that's what was used to update the file on me.

I am fairly confident I should have received the NOA by now as people who sent after me, and live further away to the location, received them already. I also asked at the front desk of my apartment building and they said that most mail is returned if there is no unit number :/

Then you should be in a good shape. Once you receive a confirmation from the NBC that they updated your address . I would request another NOA, I think you can do it from the website. and follow up with them regarding the bio appointment if you didn't receive the letter.
