Hey everyone! 2 questions

1. I'm moving in a week and i just wondered: how do i go about getting an SSN # once i arrive in California? I tried googling but nothing really gave me any straight forward info.

2. After we file our AOS after marriage, for the interview part, i was reading about marriage proof. Is it easy to open a joint bank account? or even add my name to the lease?

How can we even do that when i don't even work in the US yet?

Go to an SSA office and apply. Use maiden name to match the name on your visa. File for AOS in married name. When you receive the EAD or green card in your married name, go back and change the name on your SSN.

Print out your I-94 info > https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

Follow this guide for getting the SSN > http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn
