The dad of a friend had a R1 visa for 5 years. A few months before the R1 expired he filed LPR application. USCIS send a notification about a bounced check on the application. But USCIS made a mistake on the date they supposed to resend the check. The check was send again within the date USCIS officially gave to the Church, but weeks later USCIS send a notification that check was too late so the case was close. So they resend the check with another I-360. Finally the I-360 which has been approved few days ago. It has been several months since the R1 5 years ended. Will the approved I-360 give him some kind of status? Can he apply for the rest of the process for the LPR?
