42 DAYS TO GET A CASE NUMBER???

What if the I129f gets to the Embassy before the I130 is even processed at the NVC?

Was told today by the NVC to follow the instructions of the I129f, it will be intially cheaper but will be hit with a big AOS fee upon arrival in USA

yes you will follow the I-129f instructions. I meant if the I-130 petition does arrive at the NVC before your I-129f petition is finish at the NVC , then they will probably close that and process your I-130 petition instead.

I was only pointing out the two petitions you have is that it takes less time to get a case number at the NVC for the I-129f petition then it does for the I-130 petition and that is why you got a case number under 42 days. It is usually only taking 2 weeks or less for I-129f to get case number. While the I-130 it is taking 42 days or more

They gave me a case number for the I129f. told me to basically move quickly as I can probably get the I129f processed faster and at the embassy before the I130 even gets a case number. I guess in this case i want the I130 to take the full 42 days

I am at 39 days since noa2. My fiance is from the Philippines and i have tried to get a case number. Sometimes i have spent an hour on hold and not even gotten to speak to anyone. I keep telling my fiance to be patient as we are still ahead of the game. It is still frustrating though

I finally got a notice from nvc dated February 4th but it wasn't mailed until February 20th. It feels good to finally have a case number

Well I just called and got my case number for my I130 they have administratively closed my I129F.

They received my case on Feb. 10, 2015 and they assigned the case number Feb. 25, 2015 (yesterday)

So in this case my Caser number was assigned for my approved I130 in 15 days.

I know I am still very early even to start worrying about this but just for information so when I get to that point I know what to expect I have a few questions for you folks to chip in please.

1. NOA2 approved on Feb 24 and so the status is it was approved on that date...should I expect the status to change when they send it out to NVC and how long should I expect that to happen?

2. Just to practice I called the NVC number the 603 severally but it keeps with the same recorded message of they are experiencing high volume calls..blah..blah..and then it switches to Spanish and after that it goes dead. How do you guys get through?

Thanks everyone, I wish this was easier than this.

Hang up as soon as you can tell it is the same message. Call back. Keep doing that until you get a different message. Skype is useful, it can dial quickly. I can usually get 10 calls in a minute. I can usually get through in 3 minutes, sometimes though it has taken 10 minutes. Once you are through, you will be on hold for a bit (usually 40 minutes , but I have stuck on hold 65 minutes.).

The amount of concurrent phone users is limited, therefore you are hoping to connect as soon as someone is finished with their call.

HUH! Thanks a lot for that information.

Would you know when the USCIS sends the file to NVC if my status will change? Thanks much.

One of our cases was updated with a sent to DOS status. The other one was not. There's no guarantee.
