Hi All,

I just wanted to share my experience with you and I hope it can help someone from experienceing the disappointment that I feel right now.

Some of you are aware of my case and for those that are not. Welll,,,,I've been waiting since August 2005 for my fiance's to receive an interview from the Frankfurt Embassy (i actually started this process in JULY 2004, due to errors on my lawyers part, I fired him and start over myself). We were place on AR in late October 2005. Thanks to the great advice of SHONJAVED ( Girl, I owe you one). I wrote emails once a month to the Frankfurt Embassy and call them biweekly. I also decided to write a letter to my Congressman last month, requesting his assistance in this matter. My final email reply from Frankfurt was dated January 16, 2006, which stated this..

.Referring to your e-mail of January 16, 2006 concerning your immigrant visa case. As already mentioned in our e-mail dated December 19, 2005, December 7, 2005, November 16, 2005, and October 22, 2005, we have not completed the administrative processing of your case. We do not know how long the process will take, we recommend not to start with wedding plans until process is complete. We will contact you once the processing is complete.

After reading this email reply I became intimadated and figure I was shooting myself in the foot and pissing someone off. SO I backed off on calling them and sending emails. UNTIL TODAY!!!! I called them and the nice lady on the phone told me that my fiance was given an interview and he failed to show up!!! I asked her when did she send the letter? She had NO ANSWER FOR ME!!! I asked, when was his interview? And she said it was scheduled FEB 20, 2006. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY FIANCE NEVER RECEIVED AN INTERVIEW LETTER. I AM SO PISSED AT THIS MOMENT THAT I CAN"T EVEN THINK STRAIGHT!!! I am planning to visit my fiance in a few weeks and I'm hoping we can try to schedule an interview while I'm there. WISH US LUCK!!!!

#######?????????? NO way that 100% unfair.

no interview- have you tried to talk to your congressman & your sentator. let them work for what they get paid for!! get some resolution that is totally unjustified. I wish you luck on getting your interview and getting it expedited! that is totally disgusting of the embassy.

they talk family first #######. HA. this is appalling.

I am so sorry to hear about your problems, and I pray you get the new interview soon. Please contact both the Senators from your state and your Congressman and beg, or whatever needed but get them to help you set this new interview up asap. I found in my own case they helped out a lot. I found at the Moroccan consulate phone calls were hard to get through and they only wanted e-mails so send more pleading e-mails until you get the interview. Explain all your problems, give your case # and plead for them to set up the interview asap so you can get the visa you are desperate for. I hope it works, it worked for me to make things move faster or they might just sit on it some more.

Good Luck,

Paula

My fiance has been a permanent residence of Germany for over 5 years, he was born in Iraq. Needless to say, his name was similar to other middle-easterners.

I have to say get your congressman and or senator involved immediately. Totally unfair to not have interview and then left in limbo. Good luck and fight for your visa.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. You mentioned that you started the process with a lawyer. I could be wrong, but if you used a lawyer, it is possible that the consulate send the interview letter to the lawyers address.. I would call the consulate in Frankfurt AGAIN and ask the address on file, otherwise, they will send it to your lawyer again.. But again, I could be wrong.

What I would do is, I would call the consulate again and ask for an interview date. People are nice there and they might schedule an interview date for you.. Best wishes to you and your fiance. Btw, the consulates new address is in Giessener Str. 30.

Good luck!

Butterfly,

Thanks for your advice. The sad thing is that she had the correct address on file. As for the lawyer's information, we never got that far with the lawyer for his name to be anywhere near my petition.

My fiance will call the Embassy tomorrow to reschedule (an oxymoron) an interview for us. I'm hoping that we can get an interview date while I'm in Germany and I'm also hoping that this will be the end of the AR #######. I've heard of people being placed on AR even after the interview. Wish us luck!!!

Thanks for the address.

I would check with the consualte and see where they mailed it first, then if they mailed it to her residence I would interrogate the postal worker... anyway this is not uncommon. It happens all the time and happened to us two times when they claimed to have sent the interview appointment letter and there is no teling for certain whose fault it was that she didn't receive.

Really that is ridiculous. I mean you contacted them on January 16. The interview was barely over a month away. They should have informed you then about it. They no doubt would have had the information at that point. Even the state department can usually inform people of their interview date about a couple months in advance.

I think getting legal help would be looking good to me at this point. Have you tried to get the interview rescheduled does anyone know the proccess for that? Perhaps ask for re-scheduling complain about the inaccurate information you were given in January

and ask for expedited service.

Oh yeah you ended up firing the lawyer sorry. But really does anyone know a good lawyer to referrence this person if it is needed.

male from lahore

i am in a very bad situation, i had my interview on 20th april 2006, my i -130 interview, my wife is a USC.

at the end of the interview i was told i ll have to wait for some clearnace, just 2 fingerprints were taken off me , of both index fingers.

they asked me to wait for 45 days but its been more than 100 days now , i have not heard anything from embassy, each time i call them they say its under process. i called up DOS in washington on the 50 th day and inquired they said the clearnace was done but they ve found some info on my case and it again went for a re review.

the next day my wife called them to inquire and they told her tht the case is not with them call up islamabad. the following day i called up DOS again and inquired i was told the case is under review, i dont know why DOS have two different stories for wife and husband?

now just a week back my wife called up USCIS to inquire and was told the case is in not with them and he cannot tell anything on the phone and she will recieve a letter from USCIS in 30-40 days , but then my wife called up DOS and inquired they had the same story tht case is not with them.

could you please tell me wat to do and whom shall i contact ? plz..
