I am sponsoring my mother on one petition and my father on a separate petition. I have enough income to support 4 people.

Do I file

I-864EZ instead of I-864 ?

Again, I live with my son only. Do I put 3 as household size meaning I don't include the other parent on each form?

I won't have to send it for couple months but form says expires 3/15/2015. Are they changing something?

Thank you

I can't find the exact link right now but I will quote the requirements right off my I-864EZ for you...

"The answer must be "Yes" to all of the following to qualify to use Form I-864EZ.

a. I am the petitioner of the family member sponsored on this form.

b. I am using only my own earned or retirement income, which is documented using IRS Form W2

c. The sponsored immigrant is the only person immigrating based on the underlying visa petition. "

From how I am reading this, you should be able to use the I-864EZ for each petition. I cannot see from your post why you would not be able to. Maybe someone else with more experience could chime in here, but from what you post here, you do qualify to use it on two separate petitions.

Good luck! :)

EDIT - Just reread your post, jetlag has addled my brain. To answer your question, yes your household size would be 3, because that is what it is. I don't believe they have changed anything.

I added more but I couldn't edit the post again. You would not add anyone who isn't a lawful permanent resident yet, only the person you are using the Form to petition for a visa. It states on the bottom of the form in bold lettering : "This is your HOUSEHOLD SIZE for the purposes of this form". I underlined the latter part of that statement to illustrate that this is how I understand it to mean. I think your reasoning is like mine.

There is always an expiry daye on those forms. I believe it is so that if you fill it our way ahead of time, it will expire and you will have to fill it out again if your financial numbers or situation changes. Usually thing move along within that time frame and the expiry doesn't happen, but it is nothing to worry about. I doubt that they are changing anything. Mine had an expiry also.

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you Dualie. I wanted to be sure.

I was asking because I didn't see this form at first and was filling out the lengthy version.

Also I didn't see any official explanation where it states I have to choose an appropriate form.
