And pray tell, how many do Christians kill?

I pretty much hold radical Christians in the same contempt I hold radical Muslims, cept that there is not a many million person world wide network of radical Christians trying to force their law and religion on people by violence in every corner of the world.

So, there are no atheist Progressives in SC?

And I thought profiling was a left-wing hot button subject. :o

labelling isn't the same as profiling. i'm not a cop or agent.

and that's not what i meant anyway, of course there are atheist progressives everywhere. but something about this guy doesn't add up. like i said before, progressives do not even support the death penalty.

Yet how many people kill that aren't radical? Once again there isn't a million Muslims out to kill people, ISIS and Al Qaeda combined is like 50,000. Where are you getting this million number from? Can you provide some links to back this up?

By you account, A muslim is a muslim no matter what they do. By that same account, that means that every person that does something bad is still a Christian. Do the math.

He probably forgot to tie up all the lose ends to make his story stick...

he certainly didn't have a firm grasp of his ideals that's for sure..interesting comments below

We are very sorry to see someone identified as nonreligious in the news for a violent crime. Such an action is almost unheard of in the freethought world. Mental instability is no respecter of persons, and happens in all walks of life.

FFRF has already taken press calls on this, and must point out that in a world roiled daily by violence in the name of religion, including commonplace personal tragedies as well as terrorism and theopolitical warfare, it would be almost unheard of for media to place religious leaders on the spot. When a crazed dad kills his children "to send them to heaven," media don't contact local or national denominational heads seeking a statement on their religion's role in this violence. On the contrary, Pope Francis blamed the Charlie Hebdo victims of Islamist terrorism, saying such violence was the result of "making fun of the faith of others."

No person should be a victim of violence because of their religion. Anyone who would attack a person because of their religious beliefs, or lack thereof, attacks the very foundation of freedom. We must work to understand one another as people and recognize that our differences are an important part of our shared humanity.

Well, you know it was going to happen. The Islamophobes are already trashing one of the victims. Like George Zimmerman, this guy will soon be called a hero. I can almost hear some of these folks chanting, "It was justifiable homicide under the Castle Doctrine."

Man, I'll bet they'd think my very white, probably atheist vegan activist coworker was also a radical muslim terrorist if that's all the data they need to 'convict' someone of being a terrorist.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.
